A podcast for people who refuse to scroll past the world.
Curious Globalist exists for one reason: the world deserves better than headlines. We take international relations, history, culture, politics, and economics seriously, but never solemnly — and we hand the microphone to people who actually know what they’re talking about.
The premise
Most of what we hear about the world arrives in two-minute segments, push notifications, and screaming infographics. That format is fine for keeping up — and useless for understanding. Curious Globalist is built for the second job: helping listeners build real mental models of how the world actually works.
How we work
Every episode begins with a single question worth two hours of preparation. We read the books our guests wrote, we read the books our guests wish they’d written, and we show up ready to push back. Curiosity, not advocacy.
What you’ll find here
- Curious Minds — long-form conversations with thinkers, historians, journalists, and diplomats.
- The Talking Point — a weekly take on the single global story everyone is arguing about.
- Back 2 Basics — primers on the concepts that anchor everything else.
The team
Curious Globalist is independently produced. The show has no sponsor agenda, no political affiliation, and no axe to grind beyond a stubborn belief that complicated subjects deserve patient treatment.
